Football Queensland (FQ) has announced the appointment of Andy Allan in the newly created Region General Manager position that incorporates Wide Bay and Central zones.
Allan’s appointment to the senior role will support the growth of the game in Central Queensland, and reflects FQ’s increased investment in the regional zone.
“We’re excited to announce the appointment of Andy Allan as Region General Manager for Central Queensland and Wide Bay in a significant boost for the game,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“Having previously worked for Football Queensland and more recently at Football Federation Australia as National Junior Participation Manager, Andy will bring a valuable insight to his role in order to drive the growth of football in Central Queensland.
“Andy will focus specifically on improving local service delivery, increasing opportunities for women and girls, strengthening local clubs, competitions and pathways and driving growth in participation numbers as he provides additional support to the Central Queensland football community.
“The additional investment of a senior resource in the region by Football Queensland is designed to support and enhance a fresh administrative model of the game by connecting local clubs and the zone to improved resource delivery by Football Queensland and the Central Queensland zone.
“We’re confident that Andy will deliver fantastic outcomes for our game and for the football community in the Central Queensland region, and we look forward to welcoming him on board.”
Andy Allan will commence his role in the region from early October.
