With the last round of the Central Queensland Talent Support Program being played in Townsville last weekend, we would like to give all players involved, the U13 to U16 a huge round of applause.
They started training back in February and have played against Representative teams from Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Wide Bay, Sunny Coast and Brisbane. Each player has shown a real desire to learn and grow as well as to increase their football knowledge and be a real team player.
At this stage in their football journey they have had some great experiences, made some new friends and played with pride and passion and a smile on their face whilst wearing the representative Blue and White CQ shirt.
A huge congratulations go to two players from CQ, Morgan Wilson U13, Campbell Miller U14 who have been selected to represent Country Queensland State teams at the National Youth Championships in Coffs Harbour this October. Both players are a credit to CQ and their respective clubs, Frenchvillle, Bluebirds and all the coaches and players involved at Representative and club level. We wish them all the best.
We would also like to mention Tyler Wetzler who made a shadow spot for the U14. Tyler has consistently performed well this year and will keep training until October with Bluebirds.
Good luck to the CQ Skills Acquisition Players U9 team that travels down to Brisbane this weekend to compete in the tournament. Enjoy yourselves and have fun.
