Central Queensland clubs have received $12,000 in funding in Round 1 of the Queensland Government’s Active Clubs program.
Active Clubs provides funding to local and regional sport and active recreation organisations that deliver physical activity throughout the state.
Six Central Queensland clubs each received $2,000 in funding for equipment and training, while Central Queensland Football also received funding for referee education in the region.
Football Central Queensland Operations Manager Kerry Gray said all clubs in the region were encouraged to apply for grants throughout the year.
“It is fantastic to see six of our clubs receive funding for training and equipment in Round 1 of the Active Clubs program,” Gray said.
“There are a number of opportunities for community clubs to receive funding throughout the year through Queensland Government programs, and we encourage all our clubs to be proactive in applying for grants to benefit their members.”
